FSE-UEW Receives Cash Donation to Support Agricultural Research
The Faculty of Science Education (FSE) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has received a donation of GH₵70,000 from the Head of the Department of Agricultural Science, Dr. Joseph Kobina Essibu, to support research and infrastructure development within the faculty.
The donation aims to support the reconstruction of the agricultural laboratory and the establishment of a goat rearing facility to improve practical training and research for students.
UEW Ajumako Campus Boosts Security with Motorbike Donation
The security operations at the Ajumako Campus of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), have been enhanced with the donation of a motorbike to the campus Security Section. This timely intervention aims to address long-standing mobility and surveillance challenges.
The motorbike was officially handed over to the Management of the College on Thursday, 15th January, 2026, at a brief ceremony held in Ajumako.
ILWGAWS Project Team Takes Stock of First-Year Outputs, Charts Next Phase
The Integrated Land and Water Management of the Greater Amanzule Wetland System (ILWGAWS) project team held a two-day intensive evaluation and results discussion workshop at Tenack Beach Resort, Beyin, in the Western Region.
The workshop, which took place on Wednesday, 15th and Thursday, 16th January, 2026, aimed to assess progress made in the project's first year and outline implementation priorities for the year ahead.
UEW Holds Strategic Meeting with University of Massachusetts Delegation
The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has held a strategic meeting with a delegation from the University of Massachusetts, United States of America, as part of efforts to strengthen academic collaboration between the two institutions.
The engagement, held at UEW, was within the framework of an existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed three years ago with a focus on staff and student exchange, joint research, teaching collaboration and capacity building.
2025/2026 Academic Year Student Leaders Undergo Training
The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) through the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs (ODSA) has organised a two-day leadership training workshop for newly elected and appointed student leaders for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The capacity-building programme was designed to equip student leaders with the requisite knowledge, skills and ethical grounding to effectively support university governance and contribute to peaceful campus administration.
