UEW and AyaHQ Partner to Boost Web3 and Student Startups

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) on Monday, 12th January, 2026, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AyaHQ, a Web3-focused innovation hub, to deepen collaboration in emerging technologies, student entrepreneurship and global talent development.

The MoU, signed at the North Campus of the UEW, sets the framework for a strategic partnership to equip UEW students with industry-relevant digital skills, nurturing innovation-driven mindsets and positioning the University as a key contributor to Africa’s growing Web3 and digital economy.

UEW Student Carves Purpose-Driven Path in Ghana’s Fashion Industry

Raymond Robert Cudjoe, a Level 300 student in the Department of Textiles and Fashion Education at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) is steadily building a distinctive presence in Ghana’s fashion industry through purpose-driven creativity and entrepreneurial discipline.

Guided by a commitment to meaningful design and cultural expression, his work reflects a thoughtful blend of innovation and social consciousness, highlighting the capacity of UEW students to translate academic training into real-world impact.

UEW Library Orientation 2026

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Library invites all new students to an orientation at the Osagyefo Library, South Campus, Winneba on Wednesday, 7th to Saturday 10th January, 2026.

This library orientation introduces new students to the University Libraries, familiarizes them with available resources and services and outlines key guidelines, policies, and procedures to support their academic work.

UEW Marks Christmas with 2025 Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols

The University Chaplaincy in collaboration with the Department of Music Education on Thursday, 18th December, 2025, hosted the 2025 Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols at the School of Creative Arts Theatre, University of Education, Winneba (UEW).

The event drew together management, staff, students and invited guests for an evening of scripture, music and reflection at the close of an eventful academic year.

UEW Lecturer Presents Research on Ghana Disaster Blog Coverage at SCMS Retreat

Dr. Elizabeth Owusu Asiamah, a lecturer at the Department of Journalism and Media Studies, has presented research on how Ghanaian blogs reported disasters, focusing on the 2022 Apiate chemical explosion, during the School of Communication and Media Studies (SCMS) faculty retreat held at the Students Centre Seminar Room III.
