DCE-UEW Seminar Empowers Students to Seize Global Opportunities

The Department of Chemistry Education of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) on Wednesday, 6th August, 2025, organised a seminar on the theme “Empowering the 21st Century Chemist for Global Impacts” at SLT7.

The seminar brought together faculty and students for an engaging exchange of ideas aimed at equipping young chemists with practical skills, professional networks and global perspectives to thrive in the 21st century.

ICTE-UEW Hosts 2025 Girls in Tech Summit

The Department of Information and Communication Technology Education (ICTE) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) hosted the 2025 Girls in Tech Summit at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre on Wednesday, 13th August, 2025.

The summit, themed “Preparing Girls for Careers in Technology, Web3 and AI,” brought together students, academics, industry experts and entrepreneurs to inspire and empower young women to pursue careers in emerging technologies.

UEW Unveils 6-Year Strategic Plan

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has launched a six-year Corporate Strategic Plan (2025–2030), echoing its position as Ghana’s premier institution for teacher education and a catalyst for national transformation.

The launch, which took place at the School of Creative Arts Theatre, Central Campus, Winneba, on Thursday, 21st August 2025, was held under the theme “Excellence through Innovation, Inclusion and Sustainability.”

Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) on Friday, 15th August, 2025, held a productive meeting with a five-member delegation from Absa Bank Ghana Limited at the Council Chamber.

The discussions centred on exploring a potential partnership that would not only streamline financial services for staff and students but also support the University’s infrastructure and social development agenda.
