The University of Education, Winneba, through the Research Policy Review Committee in collaboration with the Division of Human Resources, is organising a Dissemination Workshop on the Revised Research Policy.

The purpose of this workshop is to raise awareness and deepen understanding of the provisions, procedures, and expectations outlined in the University's Revised Research Policy.

The Department of Social Studies Education under the Faculty of Liberal and Social Studies Education, University of Education, Winneba (UEW) held a three-day retreat to deliberate on pressing academic issues and to build stronger support systems for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The Department of Chemistry Education (DCE) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) on Thursday, 25th September, 2025, brought science to life for junior high school (JHS) learners in the Effutu Municipality through a chemistry outreach programme under the theme “Unlocking the Wonders of Chemistry for a Brighter Tomorrow.”

Eight scholars from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) have secured a prestigious UNESCO Ghana grant to adapt and implement the Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Curriculum within Ghana’s teacher education system.

Nine scholars from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) have been awarded a UNESCO Ghana grant to undertake a project that seeks to enhance local appreciation, participation and sustainability of historic forts and castles in Ghana with Cape Coast and Elmina Castles as the focus of study.

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) on Friday, 26th September 2025, honoured 32 distinguished staff members at a farewell party held at the SEMSA Club House, North Campus.

The event, organised by Management, celebrated the dedicated service and lasting contributions of the 2025 retirees, consisting of 14 Senior Members, six Senior Staff and 12 Junior Staff who have shaped the University’s growth and reputation over the years.

Prof. Stephen Jobson Mitchual, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), reiterated Management’s commitment to transparency, teamwork and shared responsibility as the driving forces behind the University’s progress.

Addressing junior and senior staff at the School of Creative Arts Theatre on Thursday, 25th September 2025, Prof. Mitchual presented a detailed report on the state of the University, outlining key achievements, ongoing projects and urgent challenges.

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) on Friday, 26th September 2025, hosted a high-level delegation from the Bunkpurugu Constituency at the University’s Council Chamber to discuss a proposal to establish a degree and certificate programme in the Bimoba (Moar) language.
