UEW Hosts 2023 German Studies Institutions Partnership Workshop

In a celebration of international collaboration and academic exchange, the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) played host to the prestigious German Studies Institutions Partnership (GIP) workshop from Monday, 20th to Friday, 24th November 2023, at the Student Centre, North Campus, UEW.

Sponsored by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the weeklong event brought together scholars, students, and experts from diverse backgrounds to explore the intersections of interculturality, multilingualism, crisis communication, and curriculum development.

UEW Scholars Triumph in Global Innovation Contest

In a triumphant moment for the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Mrs. Nelly Adjoa Sakyi-Hagan, and Dr. (Mrs.) Charity Esenam Anor, scholars from the Department of Integrated Science Education, have emerged victorious in the prestigious "Laissez-Passer of the Erasmus Generation" contest.

Their ground-breaking project, "Empowering Girls through Menstrual Hygiene Awareness," captivated the audience at the finals held during the "Higher Education European Networking Summit," in Milan.

We Have Made Major Strides in Resolving Student Portal Issue – UEW Vice-Chancellor

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Prof. Stephen Jobson Mitchual, has unveiled his administration's dedicated efforts to address nearly 98% of student portal issues, ensuring a seamless academic experience at the institution.

Prof. Mitchual credited his predecessor, Prof. Mawutor Avoke, for initiating the resolution process, a mission he continued upon assuming office. This commitment resulted in the publication of approximately 98% of last semester's examination results.

UEW Researchers Unveil Findings from Solid Waste Source Separation and Compost Project

A dedicated team of researchers from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) recently organised a crucial equity and inclusion workshop at the Airport View Hotel in Accra.

The workshop convened on Monday, 13th November, 2023, sought to divulge the findings of their innovative project titled "Communication & Community Engagement Strategy and Equity & Inclusion Studies for a Community-Based Municipal Solid Waste."
