The School of Creative Arts, University of Education, Winneba, in collaboration with the Open University UK, Decolonising Education for Peace in Africa Project (DEPA) is organising the 10th International Conference of Carnival and Masquerade Arts 2023. 

The theme for the conference is "Tradition, Connection, Innovation, and Decolonisation". The conference will be a landmark gathering of academics, practitioners, and artists from across the Caribbean, Africa, Europe, North America, South America, and Oceania.

The Faculty of Applied Behavioural Sciences in Education (FABSE) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), took a proactive step towards enhancing its staff's professional development by organising a comprehensive staff development workshop.

The event, held on Wednesday, 8th November, 2023, at the Student Centre, North Campus, UEW, Winneba, focused on enlightening staff about fundamental conditions of service and efficient document management practices at both departmental and faculty levels.

In a collaborative effort to enhance the quality of academic counselling at the University of Education Winneba (UEW), the Faculty of Applied Behavioural Sciences in Education (FABSE) and the School of Education and Life-Long Learning (SELLL), have organised a joint workshop on staff development for Academic Counsellors in their respective outfits.

The workshop, held on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the Student Centre, North Campus, Winneba, aimed to educate and reorient both new and seasoned Academic Counsellors on the fundamentals and significance of academic counselling.

The College of Languages Education (COLANG) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), and the visiting delegation from the University College of Northern Denmark (UCN) have had fruitful discussions to strengthen collaborative efforts in education.

Prof. Dominic Kwaku Danso Mensah, the Principal of the College, expressed satisfaction with the ongoing collaboration, recounting his previous attempt to visit UCN. He acknowledged the positive experiences of UEW students in Denmark and welcomed the delegation to explore further opportunities.

A delegation from the Department of Educational Foundations (DEF) at the School of Education and Life-Long Learning (SELLL), University of Education Winneba (UEW), in a significant stride towards enhancing educational practices and research in Ghana, has visited the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA).

The Directorate of Research, Innovation, and Development (DRID) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), in a strategic move to enhance the professional capabilities of teaching and non-teaching senior members at the Faculty of Ghanaian Languages Education (CoLANG) at the Ajumako Campus, organised a day-long workshop on grant sourcing and proposal writing.

The University of Education Winneba (UEW) extended a warm welcome to representatives from the University College of Northern Denmark (UCN) at a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor and his Management team at the Council Chamber, North Campus, UEW.

The four-member delegation is at UEW to foster discussions and enhance existing collaborations in the field of education. The meeting, a productive engagement between the Management team of UEW and the visiting delegation from UCN, emphasised the commitment to furthering educational partnerships and initiatives.

The Department of Mathematics Education (DME) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has welcomed a prestigious guest professor from the University of Windsor in Canada, Prof. Andrew Allen.

The visit, organised by Dr. Peter Akayuure, the Department's Graduate Coordinator, aims to fortify global alliances, explore collaborative opportunities, and enrich the field of mathematics education.
