UEW-FGLE Builds Staff Capacity in Two-Day Workshop

The Faculty of Ghanaian Languages Education (FGLE) at the Ajumako Campus of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has organised a two-day Capacity Building Workshop to enhance staff professional competence and academic productivity.

The workshop, held from Wednesday, 7th to Friday, 8th January, 2026, at the Video Conferencing Room, focused on critical issues shaping contemporary academic practice and career development.

Go Beyond Limitations and Think Bigger — UEW Students Encouraged

Students of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) have been encouraged to abandon narrow-minded thinking, uphold discipline and position themselves for both academic and personal advancement.

This charge was delivered at the First Interdenominational and Thanksgiving Service of the First Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year, held at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre, North Campus, Winneba, on Sunday, 25th January, 2026.  

UEW Chaplaincy Seeks Divine Guidance for 2025/2026 Academic Year

The Chaplaincy Board of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) on Saturday, 24th January, 2026, organised a Day of Prayer and Fasting at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre, North Campus, to commit the 2025/2026 academic year to God.

The spiritual exercise brought together members of the University Management, staff, students and chaplaincy leaders to seek divine guidance, protection and prosperity for the institution and its community as the new academic year begins.

UEW Explores Academic and Sports Collaboration with Denmark’s UCL University

Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) on Thursday, 22nd January, 2026, hosted a delegation from Denmark’s University College Lillebælt (UCL) to advance discussions towards a formal academic collaboration between the two institutions.

The meeting, held at the Council Chamber of UEW formed part of ongoing engagements to strengthen international partnerships in teacher education, research and sports development.

UEW Management Meets Neenyi Ghartey VII on Anniversary Plans

Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) on Thursday, 22nd January 2026, paid a courtesy call on Neenyi Ghartey VII, Paramount Chief of the Effutu Traditional Area and Chancellor of UEW.

The visit aimed to deliberate on matters of mutual interest, strengthen collaboration between the University and the Traditional Council and support preparations for the 30th anniversary of his enstoolment.

UEW Hosts IUCDS Seminar on Digital Innovations in Teaching

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) hosted a four-day seminar organised by the Inter-University Conference for Doctoral Studies (IUCDS) at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre from Tuesday, 20th to Friday, 23rd January, 2026.

The conference brought together doctoral students, academics and partner institutions from across Africa to discuss innovative approaches to quality teaching and research.
