Virtual Intensive Pre-Academic Orientation Programme (V-IPOP) for 2019/2020 Sandwich Academic Year

The University intends organizing orientation for fresh sandwich students for the 2019/2020 academic year.  The orientation is intended to:

  1. introduce fresh students to university life;
  2. aid fresh students to acclimatise in university surroundings; and
  3. provide an opportunity for faculties to meet their fresh students face-to-face.

COLTEK Implements Robust Measures, Fumigates Against COVID-19

The College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has been fumigated as part of efforts to fight COVID-19 in the College.

COLTEK benefitted from the fumigation exercise under the auspices of the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development through the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council and the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies recently carried out to combat the global pandemic of COVID-19 in the Ashanti Region.

Prof. (Mrs) Ruby Hanson Appointed as Acting Pro-Vice-Chancellor

The Management of the University of Education, Winneba has appointed Prof. (Mrs) Ruby Hanson, Dean of Faculty of Science Education, Winneba Campus as Acting Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University. The appointment takes immediate effect until a substantive Pro-Vice-Chancellor is appointed.

Prof. (Mrs) Ruby Hanson replaces Prof. J. K. Kagya-Agyemang who has been holding the fort for one and half years. This is to ensure that Prof. Kagya-Agyemang returns to Mampong Campus to fully take charge of the administration of the Campus as serving substantive Principal.

AAU Calls on Higher Education Institutions to Celebrate African Universities’ Week

The Association of African Universities is inviting all Higher Education Institutions across the continent to celebrate the 2019 African Universities Week which comes off from 11 -15 November 2019.

The theme for this year’s celebration is “Towards a Peaceful and Secure Africa through Quality Higher Education”. It seeks to bring to the fore, the critical role that African higher education institutions and stakeholders need to play to foster peaceful environments towards promoting development and the attainment of the “Africa we want” by 2063.

Schedule for Medical Examinations for Fresh Students | 2019/2020

Fresh students are being informed that the ongoing medical examinations for the 2019/2020 academic year will, as from 30th September to 15th November, 2019 be conducted based on a schedule from 7:30am to 4:30pm every working day at the University Clinic.

Stduents are to note that the medical examinations are mandatory for all fresh students to be accepted as junior members of the University. Fresh students who fail to report or complete their medical examinations within the period would:
