UEW Student wins Highest GRASAG National Position

A final year Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Home Economics Education post-graduate student of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Ms. Heartwill Selasi Tamakloe has emerged the National President-Elect for Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana (GRASAG) at the just-ended 26th Annual National Delegates Congress. 

The Congress, held from 8-9th January, 2021, at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), saw the election of new GRASAG National Executives for 2021.  

UEW's Amponsah Sets New National Record at Sekondi-Takoradi Marathon

William Amponsah, a 21-year-old student of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has won the maiden edition of the Sekondi-Takoradi Marathon held on Boxing Day.

Amponsah, officially now holds the new record for 21km in Ghana having clocked a time of 1:02:51 to win the ultimate GHC 10,000 cash prize with some other goodies from sponsors.

Speaking to the media after setting the new national record, Amponsah was elated to have broken his previous personal best (1:04:38) to achieve this new milestone and hopes for a better future in his long-distance running career.

Procedures for Online Registration and Access to UEW-LMS for 2019/2020 First Sandwich Session

Management wishes to inform the 2019/2020 first session sandwich students that all teaching and learning activities, which will commence on 26th July, 2020 will be conducted through the online UEW Moodle platform. Accordingly, all lectures and other academic interactions will be conducted on the Moodle platform. Management, through the UEW-LMS Monitoring and Evaluation Committee (ULMEC) will roll out series of online orientation exercises (webshops) to facilitate easy access for registration and participation in the online lectures and activities.

General Information for Both Fresh and Continuing Sandwich Students for 2019/2020 Academic Year

  1. Re-opening of Sandwich Session for both fresh and continuing students is Saturday, 25th July, 2020.
  2. General Online Orientation for both fresh and continuing students will begin on Monday, 27th July, 2020 and Faculty and Departmental Interactions would begin from 29th – 31st July, 2020.
  3. Arrangements for payment of fees are as follows:
