The University Community is hereby informed that applications are open for the MA in African Sustainable Communities programme at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU), Israel, for the 2025–2026 academic year.

Mr. Samuel Kwasi Akonnor, a level 400 student specialising in Art Education with a focus on painting, will be presenting his artistic creations at the Global Disability Summit (GDS) Art Expo 2025. His participation highlights the intersection of creativity and advocacy for individuals with special needs.

The art exhibition titled “Lost in Belongingness” is scheduled for Wednesday, 2nd and Thursday, 3rd April, 2025, in Berlin, Germany.

Prof. Esther Yeboah Danso-Wiredu has emerged as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor-elect of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), awaiting approval by the UEW Council. She will be the first substantive female Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the university.

The highly competitive election, across the university’s campuses, saw Prof. Esther Danso-Wiredu narrowly defeat her closest contender, Prof. Imurana Awaisu Braimah, by 13 votes. The contest also included Prof. Emmanuel Osei Sarpong.

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has reaffirmed its commitment to digital literacy and innovative teaching methodologies by hosting a two-day seminar to equip faculty members with advanced digital tools for education.
