The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Jobson Mitchual, led the University Management in receiving the award and highlighted the commitment and enthusiasm of the cadet corps. He emphasised the importance of recognising the contributions of students who volunteer their time and effort to represent the University without any financial compensation.

“These young individuals carve out time from their busy schedules to train and engage in all their activities,” stated Prof. Mitchual. “No one compensates them; we do not provide scholarships or incentives. In the past, they even approached me to explain that when they travel for these programmes, they have to pay for their own transportation.”

Prof. Mitchual assured the cadets that management had since taken steps to support their efforts and would continue to do so. “These are some of the little things that sell the university,” he added. “We appreciate you. Keep on doing what you are doing. You have our support.”
