Prof. Stephen Jobson Mitchual, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has called for urgent and deliberate reforms in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) systems to equip Africa’s youthful population with practical skills for economic transformation.   

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) is advancing discourse on culture and creativity with a call for scholars and artists to embrace “Sankofaism” as a transformative framework for reimagining artistic practice and cultural knowledge systems.

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) through the Centre for Research in Culture and Creative Arts (CeRCCA) in collaboration with the School of Creative Arts (SCA) held a three-day Creative Arts and Culture International Research Conference aimed at redefining the role of culture and creativity in sustainable development.

The exhibition reaffirms the Department’s commitment to advancing equitable learning for persons with special educational needs.  

A team of scholars at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) in partnership with a team at the University of Pennsylvania has received a significant research boost following the award of a grant to support a study to strengthen school guidance and counselling systems across Ghana.

The year-long project is entitled “Strengthening Ghana’s School Guidance and Counseling Training Programs through Research, Policy, and Practice.”
