The University of Education, Winneba wishes to inform all members of the University community and the general public that the University will officially re-open for the 2025/2026 Academic Year as follows:

Saturday, 3rd January, 2026 (Fresh Students - Regular) and,
Saturday, 10th January, 2026 (Continuing Students - Regular).

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) informs all 2025 graduands and the general public that the First Session of the 30th Congregation will be held in person from Wednesday, 26th to Saturday, 29th November, 2025, at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre, North Campus, Winneba.

The Transport Section of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) in collaboration with the Division of Human Resource has commenced a four-day refresher training for the University’s drivers to sharpen their professional competence, safety awareness and service delivery skills.

The training, which began on Tuesday, 4th November, 2025, and is expected to end on Friday, 7th November, 2025, is taking place at the Students Centre Seminar Room II, North Campus, Winneba.

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) exhibited remarkable determination and teamwork at the 28th Inter-University Cross Country competition held at the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD), Somanya, in the Eastern Region.  

The competition, which featured 16 public universities in the country, formed part of the Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Minor Games which also included disciplines such as chess, scrabble, tug of war and Ampe.

The Directorate of Research, Innovation and Development (DRID) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has conducted the first of three sessions of a grant proposal development and budgeting workshop to enhance faculty capacity in research proposal writing and acquiring competitive funding.

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Chapter of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) hosted a one-day Breast Cancer Awareness Symposium and Screening event to educate and empower the University community on proactive steps towards early detection and treatment of breast cancer.

The University of Education, Winneba, invites scholars, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to submit original papers for presentation at the 9th International Conference (BCSF-2026).

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) on Friday, 31st October, 2025, held a Matriculation Ceremony for the 2024/2025 cohort of sandwich students at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre, North Campus, Winneba.

The colourful event, which was held in a hybrid format, both in-person and virtual, officially admitted 348 fresh students into the University to pursue various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Dr. Richard Samuel Kwadwo Abieraba, a lecturer at the Department of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Sports (HPERS), University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has secured a competitive research grant to undertake a study stay at the Department of Neuromotor Behavior and Exercise, University of Münster, Germany.
