Conduct of Mid-Semester Examinations
The Mid-Semester Examinations have been scheduled to take place from Sunday, 25th July - Saturday, 31st July 2021.
In line with the above, the following measures should guide the conduct of the mid-semester examinations:
Renewal of Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship Fund Second Batch
The Management Board of the UEW Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship Fund is pleased to announce to the University community that per the recommendations received from the Scholarship Committee, the Board has approved the second batch of the renewal of the VCSF to the under-listed students who submitted their results or transcripts for the scholarship in the 2020/2021 academic year.
The signing of Performance Agreement Forms is scheduled as follows:
Online Signing of Distance Education Matriculation Register | 2020/2021
All First-Year Distance Education Students of the University are informed that as part of efforts to curb the spread of the COVID-19, the signing of the Matriculation Register will be done online.
It is important to note that ONLY STUDENTS WHO REGISTER WILL HAVE THEIR NAME IN THE MATRICULATION BROCHURE.
The closing date for this Matriculation Registration exercise is Sunday, 15th August, 2021.
The procedure for the registration is as follows:
Extension of Deadlines for Submission of Mature Application and writing of Entrance Examination | Regular and Sandwich Mature Applicants
It is announced for the information of prospective Mature applicants that the deadlines for the submission of Regular and Sandwich Mature Application Forms have been extended.
Consequently, the dates for writing the Entrance Examinations have also been reviewed.

Misinformation on Social Media about University of Education, Winneba Mature Entrance Examinations Requirements
The attention of University of Education, Winneba has been drawn to a post circulating on social media that seeks to misinform the general public, and Mature applicants in particular, on the requirements they need to satisfy in order to qualify to write the University’s Mature Entrance Examination and, if successful, gain admission into the University.
UEW Clinic Receives Healthcare Equipment from REACT Humanitarian Network
The University Clinic has received healthcare equipment from a United Kingdom (UK) based Non-Governmental Organisation, REACT Humanitarian Network, for the health enhancement of staff and students especially, persons with special needs.
Among the items donated, bequeathed by Millbrook Health Care in the UK, were 10 tri walkers, 16 rollators, 44 foldable walking aids, 106 adjustable walking aids (sticks), 25 Buckingham caddies, 12 chairs, 37 raised toilet seats, 10 male urinal containers, 20 therapeutic mats, 35 mattresses and 14 hospital beds.
UEW Holds Matriculation for 2020/2021 Fresh Students of CoDeL
Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), held virtual matriculation for the 2020/2021 fresh students of the College of Distance and e-Learning (CoDeL) at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre, North Campus, UEW.
The ceremony, held by virtual mode as a result of the menacing COVID-19 pandemic, allowed the matriculants to pledge their allegiance to the authority of the University through the administration of the Matriculation Oath, signalling their formal induction into the University.
Management Commissions Purpose-built UEW Bookshop
Managements of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) and Kingdom Books and Stationery Limited (KBSL) have commissioned a purpose-built bookshop for the University at its North Campus in Winneba.
The purpose-built UEW bookshop, rented out to KBSL to operate for some years and later hand over to the University, encompasses a bookshop floor, warehouse area, external works and exclusions.
1st Batch of Security Training Workshop Comes to a Close
The Division of Human Resource, University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has ended a five-day workshop to upgrade and sharpen the competencies of the first batch security personnel to empower them to improve upon their performances at the University.
The workshop was held from Monday, 5th to Friday, 9th July, 2021, at the North Assembly Hall, Winneba.
UEW Researchers with MPA Presents Country Report on GSP to Minister of Education
A team of researchers from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), in association with the Millennium Promise Alliance (MPA), has presented a country-level research report on compliance to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) from the Global School Project (GSP) through the Minister of Education, Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, to the United Nations (UN). The occasion was also used to present to the Minister his letter of credence inviting him to serve on the high-level UN Advisory Board for Mission 4.7.
