Graphic Design Class of 2021 Donates to Department

The 2021 batch of the Department of Graphic Design, University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has donated two sets of two-way 15-inch active speaker portable karaoke systems to the Department to enhance teaching and learning at large lecture halls.  

A short ceremony was organised on Wednesday, 24th November, 2021, at the Department of Graphic Design Conference Room, North Campus of UEW, for the presentation. 

UEW CIP and University College of Northern Denmark Tour Basic Schools in Winneba

The Centre for International Programmes (CIP), University of Education, Winneba (UEW) and the six-member delegation from the University College of Northern Denmark (UCN), on Tuesday, 23rd November, 2021, visited three basic schools in Winneba as part of activities earmarked for the International Fellows week.

The visit was to assess the performance of the international students who did their internship at these basic schools. Additionally, it intended to aid the six-member delegation to appreciate the impact made and challenges encountered during the stay of their students.

School of Creative Arts Introduces New Programme

The School of Creative Arts, University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has introduced a new programme, Bachelor of Arts (B. A.) in Creative Arts and Design Education, as part of the 2021/2022 academic year admissions. 

The programmme is designed to fill the gap in training competent creative arts teachers who have adequate knowledge in Visual Arts, Music, and Theatre Arts to build a core of teachers capable of implementing the pre-tertiary creative arts curriculum in Ghana.

CIP Welcomes Six-member Delegation from University College of Northern Denmark

A six-member delegation from the University College of Northern Denmark (UCN) has arrived at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) for a week-long visit to interact with faculty and the University community as part of the partnership agreement between the two parties. 

The delegation is expected to be involved in seminars, workshops and public lectures with the University community and teachers of selected basic schools within the Efutu municipality.      

Service Personnel at UEW to be Oriented

The Division of Human Resource (DHR) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), is gearing up for orientation of all National Service Personnel (NSP) rendering their service to the country at the Institution.  

As part of the core mandate of DHR to effectively manage the institution’s human resources including NSP, it has assured the University’s Media Relations Department that plans are underway for NSP to undergo orientation to gain better insight into the rudiments of UEW as an institution and to adequately prepare them for the task ahead.  

SACOST Organises Colloquium to Commemorate World Science Day

The Centre for School and Community Science and Technology Studies (SACOST) under the Institute for Educational Research and Innovation Studies (IERIS) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has organised a symposium on its journey so far.  

The symposium was held at the IERIS Conference Room on Wednesday, 10th November, 2021, to commemorate World Science Day for Peace and Development.

UEW Security Receive Investigative Training

The Division of Human Resource with the Directorate of Security Services has organised a three-day workshop on Investigation for selected security personnel of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW). 

The workshop, intended to enable the University’s security personnel to identify crime and understand the initial responsibilities to commence investigations, took place at the Prof. Nathaniel K. Pecku Conference Room, North Campus of UEW from Wednesday, 10th to Friday, 12th November, 2021.  

2022 YOTOFEST Launched at UEW

The Sanitation Taskforce of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) in collaboration with the Tourism Society of Ghana and SHAPE Attitude Ghana, has launched the 2022 Youth in Tourism Festival (YOTOFEST). 

The launching, its third edition, took place on Friday, 12th November, 2021, at the North Campus Mini-Conference Room of UEW. It was under the theme “The Youth, Tourism and Sanitation”. 

GTEC Sources Support from UEW to Design New Programme

A three-member delegation from the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) has paid a courtesy call on the Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) at the North Campus of the University in Winneba.   

The delegation was at the University to crave the indulgence of its Management to appoint specific experts to work with GTEC on a professional leadership programme it intends to roll out.
