Ghartey Hall Welcomes its 2021/2022 Freshmen
The Ghartey Hall, University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has held an orientation programme for its fresh students of the 2022 academic year at the South Campus Assembly Hall.
The programme enabled Management and Executives of the Hall to interact with the level 100 students while imbuing in them the essence of their royalty as bona fide members of the hall whose members are known as royals. The occasion also allowed freshmen to acculturalise to the principles and values of the Royal Hall. The orientation programme had hundreds of students in attendance.

He entreated them to avail themselves to the new opportunities.
School of Creative Arts Embarks on Academic Retreat
The Departments of Art Education, Graphic Design, and Textiles and Fashion Education under the School of Creative of Arts, University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has held a three-day retreat at the Busua Beach Resort in the Western Region.
The retreat offered the opportunity for the three Departments to fine-tune the Doctor of Philosophy in Art Education programme, review existing programmes for re-accreditation, proposed Design and Digital Media Unit, hold workshop on thesis writing and supervision for faculty members.
UEW Pursues Collaborative Links with University of Virginia
The Ag. Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Prof. Andy Ofori-Birikorang, has called on former Mayor of Charlottesville, Mr. Dave Norris, to assist the University to forge academic collaborations with the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, USA.
Prof. Ofori-Birikorang revealed UEW is interested in collaborating in the areas of research and other activities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) as well as education policy.
UEW Ranked First in Ghana in 2021 UI GreenMetric World University Ranking
The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has been named the Most Sustainable University in Ghana and the 893rd Most Sustainable University in the World by the University of Indonesia (UI) GreenMetric World University Rankings for the year 2021.
The ranking is based on six distinct categories: setting and infrastructure, energy and climate change, waste, water, transportation, and education, each with its own weighted indicators.

Deputy Registrar at the Office of the Registrar, Dr. Hagar Bampo-Addo, has urged National Service Personnel (NSP) posted to the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) for the 2021/2022 academic year to strive for significant results in the discharge of their duties.
Dr. Hagar Bampo-Addo made this statement while delivering a welcome address on behalf of the Registrar, Surv. Paul Osei-Barima, Esq., at an orientation organised by the Division of Human Resource (DHR) for all NSP posted to UEW.
Nine-member ITECPD-UEW Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Committee Inaugurated
The Institute for Teacher Education and Continuing Professional Development (ITECPD), University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has organised a two-day workshop for Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Committee members and gender experts from the College of Education.
The two-day workshop, which took place from Monday, 20th to Tuesday, 21st December, 2021, at the Gloriaka Hotel, Winneba, witnessed the inauguration of a team of the UEW GESI Committee.
UEW Graduates 11,477 Students
The University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has graduated a total of 11,477 students at its first session of the 26th Congregation ceremony held at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre, North Campus, Winneba from Monday 13th to Saturday 18th December, 2021.
