University Library Introduces MyLoft Off-Campus System

The University Library is excited to announce the acquisition of MyLOFT, a cutting-edge off-campus access system designed to enhance the academic and research experience for students and faculty members. This innovative platform provides seamless access to the library’s extensive digital resources from any location, at any time.

What is MyLOFT?

MyLOFT, which stands for "My Library on Finger Tips," is a mobile and web-based application that allows users to access, organise, and manage digital content from the university library remotely. With MyLOFT, users can effortlessly browse, download, and read a wide array of academic journals, e-books, articles, and other digital materials provided by the Library.

Key Features of MyLOFT:

  • Remote Access: MyLOFT enables users to access the library’s digital resources from off-campus, breaking the barriers of location and time.
  • User-Friendly Interface: The platform boasts an intuitive and easy-to-navigate interface, making it simple for users to find and utilise the resources they need.
  • Personalised Library: Users can create a personalised library, saving their favourite resources and organising them for quick and easy access.
  • Offline Reading: MyLOFT allows users to download materials for offline reading, ensuring uninterrupted access to essential resources even without an internet connection.
  • Collaborative Tools: The platform includes features for note-taking, highlighting, and sharing resources with peers, fostering collaboration and enhancing the learning experience.
  • Voice-enabled universal search: Discover content using voice commands in the search engines.

Trainings:

The Library will be conducting a series of training sessions to help users get acquainted with MyLOFT. Faculty members/students are encouraged to participate and take advantage of this opportunity to learn about the new system. Flyers and posters of upcoming trainings will be posted on the library portal and various university social media platforms.
