Lending /Borrowing

Who can borrow?

Current UEW students, faculty and staff can borrow items from the Lending Sections of the Osagyefo, North Campus and Ajumako Campus Libraries.

Only registered UEW students, faculty and staff with a valid UEW Library card can borrow books.

 

Undergraduates can borrow a total of 3 books from the UEW main Libraries at any one time. There are 3 categories of loanable books across the libraries.

Postgraduates can borrow a total of 4 books from the UEW Main Libraries at any one time. There are 3 categories of loanable books across the libraries.

All UEW Library users can use items while in our libraries, but only registered users can borrow items.

If you are eligible to borrow items, you can check out the item at the library Circulation desk.

Library rules for borrowed items

Please handle with care the items you have borrowed from our libraries, so that they are kept in good condition for other readers.

• You may not lend or transfer a borrowed book to anyone else, except where this has been agreed with the issuing library.
• You are responsible for items issued to you until you have returned them.
• You must protect items issued to you and must not damage them or expose them to hazardous conditions.
• You must not write in, mark, or otherwise deface or damage library items in any way.

Your allowance for borrowing applies across all UEW Libraries that offer lending. You can check your borrowing allowances above.

There are 3 categories of loanable books across the libraries.

The Osagyefo, North Campus and Ajumako Campus Libraries may offer vacation borrowing for all or part of their lending collections, which extends ordinary loan periods over University holidays. Check with your registered library for details.
