The University of Education, Winneba – Centre for International Programmes, invites international students to participate in an immersive Explore Africa Programme, designed to deliver a dynamic and hands-on experience of African culture.

Programme Highlights:

Prof. Stephen Jobson Mitchual, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has underscored the University’s steady growth in access, infrastructure and academic quality at the second session of its 30th Congregation.

The event commenced at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre on Wednesday, 22nd April, 2026 and is expected to climax on Saturday, 25th April, 2026.

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) concluded a four-day intensive capacity-building workshop on Procurement, reinforcing its commitment to transparency, efficiency and regulatory compliance in public procurement.

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) advanced its commitment to transparent and efficient procurement with a practical, technology-driven training on day two of its four-day capacity-building programme for management and procurement staff.

Held on Tuesday, 14th April 2026, at the North Campus Mini-Conference Room and organised with the Public Procurement Authority (PPA), the session focused on operationalising the Ghana Electronic Procurement System (GHANEPS).

The Procurement Office at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has organised a four-day intensive procurement training programme from Monday, 13th to Thursday, 16th April, 2026. The training aims to strengthen institutional capacity and enhance compliance with national procurement regulations.   

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) and the State Insurance Company (SIC) have initiated discussions to strengthen their long-standing partnership with a focus on expanding insurance coverage, enhancing service delivery and exploring broader institutional collaboration.

This emerged during a meeting between UEW Management and a delegation from SIC at the Council Chamber on Monday, 13th April, 2026.

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) is exploring an innovative partnership with mobility company HOPP to introduce electric scooters and e-bikes on campus as part of efforts to improve student transportation, promote sustainability and enhance campus life.
