The Directorate of Research, Innovation and Development (DRID) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) hosted a university-wide seminar on research capacity building, grantsmanship and innovation commercialisation.

The Department of Chemistry Education (DCE) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) in collaboration with the American Chemical Society (ACS) has organised a one-day conference under the theme “Green Chemistry Without Borders: Sustainable Solutions Through Collaboration and Innovation.”

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has stepped up efforts to enhance the quality of teaching and learning through a faculty training workshop held on Friday, 13th February, 2026, at the Students Centre Seminar Room III.  

Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has reiterated its commitment to continuous improvement and excellence following a successful engagement with an Institutional Review Assessment Team from the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC).

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has admitted 8,056 new distance education students for the 2025/2026 academic year. The matriculation ceremony took place at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre on Friday, 13th February, 2026.

The admission reinforces UEW's vision of expanding access to quality teacher education through flexible, technology-driven learning.
