To revitalise alumni relations and strengthen institutional ties, the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), officially inducted the Interim Executive Officers for its Alumni Association on Thursday, 13th February, 2025.

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has launched the Vice-Chancellor’s Community Initiative Programme (VCCIP), a transformative initiative to foster stronger ties between academia and the local communities of Effutu, Ajumako, and beyond.

This groundbreaking programme seeks to drive meaningful engagement, collaboration, and development, reinforcing UEW’s commitment to societal impact.

The Minister of Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, has committed to integrating teachers trained at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) into the Ghana Education Service (GES).

This commitment was made during a courtesy call by a delegation from UEW, led by its Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Jobson Mitchual, on Monday, 24th February, 2025.

The Gender Mainstreaming Directorate (GMD) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), in collaboration with Local NUGS and the SRC Office of the Women's Commission, has organised a conference to empower females.

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has launched the Community STEM Clubs Project, an innovative initiative to inspire future innovators and promote Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education in local schools and communities.

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Chapter of the Ghana Science Association (GSA), in collaboration with the Department of Biology Education and the Biological Science Students Association (BIOSSA), has held a seminar on innovative techniques in science teaching.

The School of Graduate Studies (SGS) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has organised a training workshop for academic heads and faculty officers.

The workshop, aimed to enhance the capacity of participants in postgraduate training, took place at the North Campus Mini-Conference Room on Monday, 17th February, 2025.
