UEW’s FHASHEE Showcases Innovation and Technology at Fashion and Food Exhibition

The Faculty of Health, Allied Sciences, and Home Economics Education (FHASHEE) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has organised an exhibition to showcase the exceptional talents of its students in fashion and food. Under the theme "The Future is Now: Blending Technology, Innovation, and Style," the event aimed to highlight the fusion of modern design and culinary arts, combining creativity and technology.

RAC-UEW Presents Draft Research Agenda for Future Development

The Research Agenda Committee (RAC) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has taken a significant step towards enhancing the university's global engagement, and adaptability to research, innovation, and development through a dissemination seminar.

The RAC presented its preliminary research agenda on 13th and 14th August, 2024, at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre and the Video Conference Room at the Ajumako Campus, respectively.

Dr. Ernest Acheampong of UEW Appointed to UNESCO Advisory Committee on Sports, Peace, and Environment

Dr. Ernest Yeboah Acheampong of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has been appointed as a member of the prestigious UNESCO Chair in Sport for Development, Peace, and the Environment (SDPE) Advisory Committee.  

This appointment underscores Dr. Acheampong's expertise and commitment to advancing the role of sports in fostering global peace, sustainable development, and environmental stewardship.

Vacation Theatre Camp 2024

The Department of Theatre Arts at the University of Education, Winneba is pleased to announce the Vacation Theatre Arts Camp for the upcoming long vacation. This programme offers intensive yet interactive training in the introductory aspects of performance, including acting, scriptwriting, directing, and TV/film production.

DJMS-UEW Partners with GJA to Elevate Journalism Education

The Department of Journalism and Media Studies (DJMS) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), collaborated with the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) to host a thought-provoking seminar on the impact of journalism education on practice.

The seminar was held at the North Campus Mini-Conference Room on Thursday, 8th August 2024, as part of the 75th anniversary celebrations of the GJA.
