Education Minister Pledges to Integrate UEW-Trained Teachers into GES

The Minister of Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, has committed to integrating teachers trained at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) into the Ghana Education Service (GES).

This commitment was made during a courtesy call by a delegation from UEW, led by its Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Jobson Mitchual, on Monday, 24th February, 2025.

UEW Hosts Maiden Business Pitch Competition Awards

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has held its maiden Business Pitch Competition Awards, to recognise and reward deserving students who have demonstrated exceptional entrepreneurial skills.

The ceremony, which took place at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre on Friday, 7th February, 2025, brought together students, faculty members, and industry partners to celebrate innovation and entrepreneurship.

UEW Engages with Sports Minister on Sports Development and Facility Upgrades

A high-level delegation from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), paid a courtesy call on Hon. Kofi Adams, Minister of Sports and Recreation, on Thursday, 13th February, 2025. The meeting aimed to foster collaboration between the Ministry and UEW, focusing on training sports professionals and establishing a college dedicated to sports education.
