The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) witnessed a moment of resounding inspiration during the second session of its 29th Congregation as Ms. Jemima Akoni, valedictorian for the Congregation delivered an address that captured the trials, triumphs and tenacity of the university’s newest graduates.

At the second session of the 29th Congregation of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Chancellor, Neenyi Ghartey VII, urgently appealed for peace in Bawku and surrounding communities where ongoing conflict has affected lives, education, and livelihoods. “Let the guns go silent. Let peace speak louder in Bawku. We cannot educate a nation while part of it burns,” he pleaded.  

In a demonstration of cross-continental collaboration, the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has embarked on an academic partnership with the University of Teacher Education (PH Luzern) in Switzerland, signalling a new era of innovation, research, and global synergy in teacher education.
