Angel Group of Companies Supports UEW
A renowned Ghanaian enterprise, Angel Group of Companies, producers of Adonko Bitters has supported the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) with personal protective products to fight against the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The items include 50 cartons of Adonko Hand Sanitiser, five cartons of Adonko Next Level Energy drink, ten Veronica buckets, ten hand washing bowls, ten dustbins, ten packs of paper towels and one box of liquid soap.
UEW to hold Virtual Congregation in August
The Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Andy Ofori-Birikorang has given a hint on Management’s decision to hold a virtual congregation for final year students, who have met the requirement for graduation, in August, 2020.
He disclosed that Management was earnestly putting the necessary arrangements in place to graduate the final year students who utilised the Learning Management System (LMS) to complete their semester and to do their project work.
HR Prepares 2020 Retirees’ Minds for Retirement
The Division of Human Resource (HR) has held a two-day workshop for staff of the University who will be withdrawing either fully or partially from active service this year after working tirelessly to help the University attain greater heights.
The two-day workshop, which took place from Thursday, 25th to Friday, 26th June, 2020 at the Registrar’s Conference Room, North Campus, Winneba, was attended by Senior Members, Senior and Junior Staff of the Winneba Campus who are due for retirement.

COLTEK Produces 4,000 Face Masks for Distribution to UEW Staff, Other Stakeholder Institutions
With support from the Management of the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK), the Department of Fashion Design and Textile Education (DFDTE) of the Faculty of Vocational Education (FVE) has produced about 4,000 face masks for free distribution in the University community as an added measure the COLTEK Management is implementing to combat the novel COVID-19 pandemic.

The largest auditorium in the University, Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre resonated colourful fashion designs and splendid modeling performances by final year students of the Department of Home Economics Education from Wednesday, 17th to Thursday, 18th June, 2020.
UEW Partners Right to Play to Train Future Teachers
Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has today, Monday, 22nd June, 2020, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a global organisation, Right to Play at the Council Chamber, North Campus, UEW.
The MoU gives Right to Play the green light to support UEW in the training of future teachers in different Faculties in the Colleges of Education and assist to capacitate the tutors who are teaching these future teachers to improve and impact the learning outcomes of Ghanaian children.

The Board of Directors of the University of Education, Winneba Corporative Credit Union (UEWCCU) has presented six metal three-in-one visitors’ chairs to the Clinic at the College of Technology Education, Kumasi (COLTEK) as its contribution towards the fight against the spread and management of the COVID-19 pandemic at the College.
UEW Health Services Begin Decontamination Exercise
The Health Services of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has started decontaminating all four campuses of the University to ensure the safety of final year students who are back on campus to complete the 2019/2020 academic year. This was occasioned by the novel COVID-19 pandemic which forced a change in the University’s mode of delivering academic activities.
