Dean of Business School Commends 2021/2022 UEWABS Executive
The Dean, School of Business, University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Prof. Braimah Awiasu Imurana, has lauded the Executives of the 2021/2022 UEW-Association of Business Students (UEWABS) year group for installing an automated signpost and notice board at the School.
The signpost, which provides information on all the programmes offered by the School, includes a mechanism that automatically turns on the light at night to provide constant advertisement for the School's programmes.
15 UEW-SCA Students Earn Global Recognition
The innovative artworks of 15 students from the School of Creative Arts (SCA), University of Education, Winneba (UEW), have been recognised by a reputable international art exhibition entity, Exploring Visual Cultures (EVC), during a virtual exhibition.
The exhibition, titled Collective Memory, is a collaborative project amongst partners in Cameroon, Germany, Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa. It was done under various thematic areas in the creative arts industry.

The Centre for Conflict, Human Rights and Peace Studies (CHRAPS), University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has hinted at plans to design suitable professional postgraduate programmes for staff at the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development (MLGDRD).
UEW-TEWU-GH Swears in New Executives
The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Chapter of the Tertiary Education Workers Union-Ghana (TEWU-GH), on Friday, August 19, 2022, swore in the newly elected executives of the union at the North Campus Mini-Conference Hall.
The Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Andy Ofori-Birikorang; Ag. Registrar, Mrs. Wilhelmina Tete-Mensah; and representatives of sister unions and institutions attended the ceremony to officially swear in the newly elected executives.
UEW Well Represented at the 2022 Birmingham Games
The 22nd Edition of the Commonwealth Games at Birmingham, UK, has come to an end with Team Ghana being lauded for its shinning performances. The team won five medals, including two silver and three bronze, and was ranked 28th on the medal log.
FSE Launches UEW Chapter of Ghana Science Association
The Faculty of Science Education (FSE) on Tuesday, 16th August, 2022, inaugurated the University of Education, Winneba Chapter of the Ghana Science Association (UEW-GSA) at South Campus, UEW.
The GSA, since its establishment, has been helping to promote the carrier development of scientists at universities and research institutes in Ghana and beyond. With the exception of UEW up until this point, it had branches at all of the universities in Ghana.
UEW-HPERS Receives Recreation and Leisure Books from Philanthropist
The Department of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Sports (HPERS), University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has received recreation and leisure books from a retired professor, Prof. Paul Ankomah, from the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in the USA.
Prof. Ankoma bequeathed the books to HPERS Department on Friday, 12th August, 2022, at his residence in East Legon, Accra, Ghana, to supplement its new Master of Philosophy programme in Physical Education (PE) and Sports Studies, Leisure and Recreation option.
UEW-CHRAPS and MATS Roll-out Postgraduate Programmes
The Centre for Conflict, Human Rights and Peace Studies (CHRAPS) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), and the School of Education (SOE) of the Military Academy and Training Schools (MATS) in Teshie-Accra, have initiated postgraduate programmes in security studies for military officers and civilians to be taken at the MATS in Teshie-Accra.
