FSSE-UEW Equips Postgraduate Students with Electronic Research Skills

The Faculty of Social Sciences Education (FSSE) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) hosted a practical seminar titled "Introducing Postgraduate Students to Electronic Resources."

The seminar, held at the Students Centre Seminar Room III on Monday, 28th July 2025, aimed to demystify the University’s electronic databases and improve students’ ability to conduct rigorous, plagiarism-free academic research.

Vacation Theatre Camp 2025

The Department of Theatre Arts at the University of Education, Winneba is pleased to announce the Vacation Theatre Arts Camp for the upcoming long vacation. This programme offers intensive yet interactive training in the introductory aspects of performance, including acting, scriptwriting, directing, and TV/film production.

UEW Champions Effective STEM Education as Catalyst for National Development

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW), hosted an academic conference themed “Effective Teaching and Learning Strategies in STEM Education” at the Students Centre Seminar Room III on Friday, 25th July, 2025.

The event gathered education experts, researchers and entrepreneurs from Ghana and abroad to explore innovative approaches to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) instruction.

UEW Geography Education Week Champions Local Solutions to Ghana’s Development Woes

The Department of Geography Education at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) held its 12th Annual Geography Education Week under the theme, “Local Solutions to Ghana’s Development Challenges: The Role of the Geographer.”

The week-long event, from Friday, 18th- 24th July 2025, featured a series of academic, cultural and student-focused activities aimed at promoting the role of geography in national development and environmental sustainability.

UEW Enhances Quality Assurance in Distance Learning

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW), through the College for Distance and e-Learning (CODeL) organised a capacity-building workshop for course writers, editors and reviewers at the Registrar’s Conference Room.

The event brought together experienced and new contributors to the University’s learning modules, highlighting UEW’s steadfast commitment to academic excellence, inclusivity and learner success.
