The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) exhibited remarkable determination and teamwork at the 28th Inter-University Cross Country competition held at the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD), Somanya, in the Eastern Region.  

The competition, which featured 16 public universities in the country, formed part of the Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Minor Games which also included disciplines such as chess, scrabble, tug of war and Ampe.

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Chapter of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) hosted a one-day Breast Cancer Awareness Symposium and Screening event to educate and empower the University community on proactive steps towards early detection and treatment of breast cancer.

The University of Education, Winneba, invites scholars, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to submit original papers for ORAL presentation at the 9th International Conference (BCSF-2026).

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) on Friday, 31st October, 2025, held a Matriculation Ceremony for the 2024/2025 cohort of sandwich students at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre, North Campus, Winneba.

The colourful event, which was held in a hybrid format, both in-person and virtual, officially admitted 348 fresh students into the University to pursue various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

The School of Graduate Studies (SGS) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has held a two-day capacity-building workshop for postgraduate thesis supervisors to enhance the quality, consistency and ethical standards of supervision across the University.

The training began on Tuesday, 28th October 2025, at the Winneba Campus, and concluded on Wednesday, 29th October 2025, at the Ajumako Campus.

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Innovation Hub has commenced training business owners and entrepreneurs as part of the Government of Ghana’s flagship Adwumawura Programme. This initiative aims to equip 10,000 Ghanaians with practical entrepreneurial and management skills.

The training commenced on Monday, 27th October, 2025, at the Students' Centre Seminar Room III, North Campus, Winneba.

Final-year Multimedia students of the Department of Graphic Design, School of Creative Arts, University of Education, Winneba (UEW), on Friday, 24th October, 2025, presented a 35-minute documentary on the University Hospital to the management of the University Health Services Directorate (UHSD).
