The Chairman of the Governing Council of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Nana Ofori Ansah I, has tasked the 2023 graduands to develop rapid and innovative responses to the current local and global challenges.
He emphasised the necessity for graduates to regularly remind themselves of their involvement in resolving problems as they emerge.
The Council Chairman made these remarks at the first session of the 27th Congregation, currently ongoing at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre, North Campus, Winneba.
University Hall Tops UEW Annual Inter-Hall Cross-Country Competition
The University Hall of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has been crowned the overall winner of the 2023 UEW Annual Inter-Hall Cross-Country Competition.
The 10-kilometre race, organised under the auspices of the Directorate of Amalgamated Sports Clubs of UEW, was to select potent athletes to compete in the upcoming inter-university cross-country at the University of Ghana, Legon.
76 athletes from the University Hall, Simpa Hall, Aggrey Hall, Ghartey Hall, and Ajumako Hall competed in the annual inter-hall cross-country race, which was held at Ajumako.
EHB Vice-Rector Calls on UEW Vice-Chancellor
The Vice-Rector of Evangelische Hochschule Berlin (EHB), a Protestant University of Applied Sciences in Germany, Prof. Dr. Michael Komorek, has paid a working visit to the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Prof. Mawutor Avoke.
The Vice-Rector was following up on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UEW and EHB signed last year and exploring additional collaboration potential.
