UEW Vice-Chancellor Promises Equal Opportunities for Staff
In a recent familiarisation tour of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Jobson Mitchual, has made a compelling promise to offer equal opportunities to all deserving staff members, emphasising a commitment to eliminating discrimination in his administration.
During the tour, which began on Monday 9th and concluded on Thursday, 26th October, 2023, to interact with diverse outfits and interest groups within the university, Prof. Mitchual expressed his delight in seeing individuals achieve the pinnacle of their profession.

UEW-DRID Empowers FFLE on Grant Sourcing and Writing
The Directorate of Research, Innovation, and Development (DRID) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has taken a significant step in enhancing the capacity of the senior members of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Education by organising a one-day workshop on Grant Sourcing and Proposal Writing.

IERIS-UEW Empowers Teachers with CPD in Lower Manya Krobo
The Institute of Educational Research and Innovation Studies (IERIS) of the University of Education, Winneba, has organised a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) workshop for 304 educational administrators and teachers in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality of the Eastern region of Ghana.
The event, which took place on 12th October, 2023, was simultaneously conducted at three different locations within the municipality.
UEW Researchers Secure €57,000 Grant for Innovative Project
A team of researchers from the University of Education, Winneba, has secured a grant award of fifty-seven thousand Euros (€57,000) for their innovative project, "Capacity Building in the Field of Vocational Education and Training," from the European Commission.
The team, comprising Dr. Charles K. Koomson, National Project Manager; Dr. Richard O. Agjei, Co-Project Coordinator; Dr. Bright Ankudze, Co-Project Coordinator; and Prof. Esther Yeboah Danso-Wiredu, VET Curriculum Expert; is set to embark on a ground-breaking initiative known as REVIVER.
Prof. Mitchual Bolsters Ties with Ajumako Chief for Enhanced Relations
The Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Jobson Mitchual, in a display of goodwill and commitment to community engagement, has paid a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of the Ajumako Traditional Council, Okukudurfo Ogyeabour Kwamena Hammah Ababio II, and his sub-chiefs.
The courtesy call aimed to officially introduce Prof. Mitchual as the new Vice-Chancellor of UEW and foster stronger ties with the Ajumako community.
UEW FSE Holds In-Service Training for Administrative Staff
The Faculty of Science Education (FSE), University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has held a day’s in-service training workshop for all of its administrative staff.
The training was held under the theme “Enhancing Human Resource Skills of Administrators for Effective Faculty Administration,” and took place at the South Campus of the university.
The goal of the training workshop was to help all administrative staff in the faculty to hone their administrative abilities and improve the quality of the services they provide to the faculty.
