UEW Scholars Launch 2nd Edition of Fishing Model School to Fight Climate Change

An initiative to enhance the resilience of Ghana’s coastal fishing communities against climate change impacts has been launched in Amanfumkumanu, Axim in the Western Region.

Climate-Fishing Model School (C-FMS) programme seeks to equip selected chief fishers, fish processors, traders, and canoe owners with knowledge of sustainable fishing practices and climate adaptation strategies.

UEW Matriculates 8,300 Distance Education Students for 2024/2025 Academic Year

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has formally admitted 8,300 new students into its College for Distance and e-Learning (CODeL) and the Institute for Teacher Education and Continuing Professional Development (ITECPD) for the 2024/2025 academic year.

The matriculation ceremony, held at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Conference Centre, North Campus, UEW, blended in-person and virtual participation to accommodate students from various study centres across the country.

UEW Strengthens International Ties Through Project Framewalk with German Delegation

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW), reaffirmed its commitment to international collaboration as it welcomed a delegation from Germany as part of the ongoing Project Framewalk.

The initiative, which fosters cultural exchange and artistic collaboration, is the result of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UEW, Haduwa Arts and Culture Institute, and a Germany-based Kabawil E. V.
