The Deputy Finance Officer shall assist the Finance Officer in the running of the financial administration of the University in accordance with guidelines provided for in the Act, Statutes and the Public Financial Management Act.

The University of Education, Winneba is pleased to announce the call for entries for the 2025 edition of the Samira Bawumia Literature Prize (SBLP), as communicated by the Samira Empowerment and Humanitarian Projects (SEHP).

This year’s competition invites original and compelling stories under the theme “Reimagine Africa’s Folktales for the Next Generation.” Writers are encouraged to create narratives that will resonate with Ghanaian children aged 9 to 15.

Dr. Theophilus Kwesi Mensah, a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Art Education at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has been selected to design and construct a ten-foot statue of El Hajj Malik El Shabazz, globally revered as Malcolm X.

The impressive monument was unveiled on Sunday, 18th May, 2025 in Winneba as a landmark feature of centenary celebrations honouring the legacy of the iconic civil rights leader.
