UEW Management Graces Okyenhene’s 20th Anniversary Grand Durbar
The centre of attraction was at Ese Ho, Kyebi in the Eastern Region of Ghana as the First Three Gentlemen of the land graced the grand durbar of the 20th Anniversary of the Paramount Chief of Akyem Abuakwa, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin II. The Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) was also in attendance to witness the memorable occasion.

UEW Increases its Share of Gold Medals at 2020 GUSA Games
The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) is putting up sensational performances in the 2020 Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) games currently underway at the University of Ghana, Legon.
The event, which started on Friday, 3rd and it is expected to end on Sunday, 19th January, 2020, is the 26th edition and for the first time on record, 11 public institutions are competing in about 14 disciplines for laurels.
Finance Section Holds 2019 Retreat and Capacity Building Workshop
The University’s Finance Section from Wednesday, 8th to Saturday, 11th January, 2020 held an annual review meeting and capacity building workshop for staff at the Elmina Beach Resort, Central Region, Ghana.
The workshop, held under the theme “Promoting workplace ethics and productivity: the role of the Accountant”, was graced by experts and professionals in specific fields who took participants through the nitty-gritty of being a successful employee in an organisation.
UEW Administrators Urged to Focus on Solutions for Growth
The President of Radford University College, Ghana, Dr. Paul Effah has called on Senior Members of the Registrar’s Office of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) to prioritise problem-solving to achieve the desired goal of the University.
He stated that the overarching role of every University was to transform human beings into human resource or human capital which could be achieved when managers go beyond acquired knowledge and exhibit ingenuity to problem-solving.
UEW Collaborates with Millennium Promise Alliance to Develop SDG-based Curriculum
Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) on Tuesday, 21st January, 2020 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with an international Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Millennium Promise Alliance (MPA) to develop an academic curriculum that will promote transformative change among pupils and students in basic, high schools and tertiary institutions.
IERIS Contributes Quota in Reshaping African Education
The Institute for Educational Research and Innovation Studies (IERIS) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) in collaboration with the Mountcrest University College, Accra and the Centre for Integrative Anti-Racism Studies (CIARS), OISE, University of Toronto, Canada has organised an educational conference on “Rethinking African Education” at Winneba.
Prof. Yankah Lauds UEW Management for Infrastructural Development Towards Admitting free SHS Students
The Minister of State in Charge of Tertiary Education, Prof. Kwesi Yankah has lauded Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) for investing judiciously in infrastructural development with Internally Generated Funds (IGF).
He congratulated the University for equipping itself to admit and accommodate large numbers of the first batch of Free Senior High School (SHS) graduates who will be seeking for admission into tertiary institutions come September 2020.
Vice-Chancellor Honoured for his Excellent Leadership Abilities
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni has been honoured by an MPhil student and an alumnus of the University for his firmness and outstanding leadership skills in managing UEW’s student population of 85,004.
Rev. Fr. Prof. Afful-Broni was presented with a lovely portrait of himself and a poetic pull-up banner on leadership on Thursday, 30th January, 2020 at the Office of the Vice-Chancellor.
