World AIDS Day: Overcoming Disruption, Transforming the AIDS Response

The HIV–AIDS Centre of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) is organising activities to commemorate World AIDS Day 2026 under the theme:

“Overcoming Disruption, Transforming the AIDS Response.”

In line with institutional arrangements, the commemoration will be carried out in two phases: the official marking of World AIDS Day and a campus-based programme scheduled for February 2026.

The initiative seeks to create awareness, reduce stigma and discrimination, demonstrate solidarity with persons living with HIV, and advocate for policy action and sustainable funding towards the HIV/AIDS response.
