UEW Champions Inclusive, Practical Mathematics Education at Transformative Bootcamp

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has launched a Mathematics Bootcamp to revolutionise the teaching and learning of the subject in Ghana.

In partnership with STEMi Makers Africa, the bootcamp promotes diversity, inquiry-based learning and the real-world application of mathematical concepts through the Department of Mathematics Education at UEW.

SCA-UEW Promotes Innovation and Mentorship at Semester Assembly

The School of Creative Arts (SCA) at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) held its General Assembly Meeting for the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year on Thursday, 19th June 2025.

UEW Basic School Promotes Inclusive Development Through Engaging Sports Week

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Basic School has organised an engaging Sports Week from Monday to Wednesday, 16th – 18th June, 2025, at the North Campus of the University.

The event, which took place under the supervision of the Sports Committee and coordination from student leaders, emphasised physical development, sportsmanship and inclusive participation among learners.

The Department of Music Education, University of Education, Winneba, in collaboration with Azaguno, Inc., Ohio University, USA, announces a special event titled: A Cultural Exchange.This cross-cultural musical experience will feature captivating performances by the Department of Music Education, UEW; Azaguno, Inc., Ohio University, USA; JU Percussion Group, Taiwan (ROC); and the Odebi Kese Ompe Group, Winneba, under the theme: Let the Rhythms Connect Us Across Continents.

UEW Scholar Leads ASAF Ghana NEURO Project for Green Skills

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) hosted the African Students and Alumni Forum (ASAF) Ghana NEURO Project at the Elmina Beach Resort in the Central Region of Ghana.  

The project, led by Dr. Charity Esenam Anor, a lecturer at the UEW and Ghana's Co-Ambassador of ASAF, convened thought leaders, past and present scholarship beneficiaries and educational stakeholders to exchange knowledge, foster networks and promote sustainable, future-ready skills among African professionals.

UEW’s DCTE and DFLME Conduct Practical Workshop to Enhance Postgraduate Research Skills

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) through its Departments of Clothing and Textiles Education (DCTE) with Family Life Management Education (DFLME) has organised a two-day workshop to build the research and digital literacy capacity of its postgraduate students.

Held on Thursday, 19th and Friday, 20th June, 2025 at the North Campus, the event focused on equipping students with hands-on skills in academic research and the responsible use of ICT, particularly artificial intelligence (AI).
