UEW Alumnus Participates in 2023 National Geographic Society Mentorship Programme
A 2021 graduate of the Department of Biology Education at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Mr. Fatawo Abdul Abubakar, has been selected as a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Field Assistant for the 2023 National Geographic Society Mentorship Programme.
UEW Lecturer Wins £23,000.00 Grant from ESRC
A lecturer at the Department of Geography Education, University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Dr. Benedict Arko has won a grant of £23,000.00 from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), UK’s largest funder of economic, social, behavioural, and human data science.

The German Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency (H. E.) Daniel Krull, has asserted that the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) is a pivotal institution for the development of Ghana.
He said the growth of countries in today’s world is no longer based entirely on raw materials but mostly on knowledge. He urged UEW, as the leading teacher education university in Ghana and sub-Saharan Africa, to continue to play the crucial role of unleashing the enormous brain power in Ghanaians.
FHEE Holds Seminar on Ethical Review
The Faculty of Home Economics Education (FHEE), University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has organised a seminar on the theme “Ethical Review in Responsible Research to Accelerate Sustainable Development” for its postgraduate students.
The seminar, held at the Student Centre Seminar Room III, North Campus, Winneba, taught students about having their work ethically examined and the value of the evaluation.
