Inter-Continental Teacher Education (ITE) – Tricontinental Teacher Training (TTT) Programme | 2026/2027 Academic Year
The University of Education, Winneba (UEW), in collaboration with Universität Hamburg (Germany), the University of North Carolina (USA), and Universidad de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires (Argentina), invites applications from qualified students for the 2026/2027 Inter-Continental Teacher Education (ITE) – Tricontinental Teacher Training (TTT) Programme.
The programme is a reciprocal international exchange initiative aimed at enhancing teacher education through cross-cultural immersion, pedagogical development, and international collaboration. Since its inception, the programme has enabled over 80 UEW students to participate in academic and cultural exchange activities in Germany.
Successful applicants will receive a grant to support their participation in the programme in Germany. Participants will undertake a four-week Study Camp at Universität Hamburg, engage in intensive preparatory seminars, participate in intercultural activities, and collaborate on group-based research projects with international partners.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Must be a level 300 student pursuing a regular programme in Education.
- Must have completed 6 semesters by the end of May 2026.
- Must have good behaviour and academic records
- Should be committed to being a worthy ambassador for UEW at the international level.
- Should have a valid passport.
- Demonstrate commitment to self-prior sponsorship.

- Academic transcript/evidence of academic progression; and
- Contact details of two referees (Senior Members within the applicant’s department).
- Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview before final selection.
