Notice of Polls | UTAG-UEW
The Branch Independent Electoral Commission (BIEC) of the University Teachers Association of Ghana, University of Education, Winneba (UTAG‑UEW), is delighted to issue the official Notice of Polls for the 2025 UTAG Branch and National Executive Elections.
Poll Date:Tuesday, 5 August 2025
Poll Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
All qualified UTAG‑UEW members are hereby called upon to cast their votes at their designated polling stations on the above date. Please ensure you bring a valid national ID card or your staff ID card. Your active participation is vital in selecting a transparent, accountable leadership that will champion the interests of our academic community, both locally and nationally.

A proxy vote can be accepted if the applicant satisfies the following:
- Should be a member of UTAG-UEW
- Two (2) copies of application to vote by Proxy; one (1) to the Chairman of the UTAG-UEW Electoral Commission (Returning Officer) AND one (1) to person nominated to vote on one’s behalf is received.
- Application to vote by proxy should be sent by email to utagec [at] uew.edu.gh with the SUBJECT “Proxy Vote” or by hand delivery to the Returning Officer who can be contacted on 024 458 3038 or 026 433 7735
** Only emails received from UEW institutional email of applicants will be recognized. **
- Application to vote by proxy sent directly by the applicant should reach the specified recipients and the proxy voter at least one (1) day before the day of Elections (Monday, 4th August, 2025).
- Proxy voters who receive their copies of authority to vote should cross check the receipt of a copy by the Returning Officer at least a day before the elections (Monday, 4th August, 2025).
NB: Only staff at post are eligible to use proxy
