Associate Professor Emmanuel Osei Sarpong is a professional teacher, a practicing exercise scientist, a certified football coach, and a certified physical fitness instructor. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Human Kinetics (Sports and Exercise Physiology) from the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria.

Currently,  he is the Dean, of Students Affairs, Ghana Ambassador to the International Trainers Course (ITK) a postgraduate programme of the Faculty of Sports Medicine at the University of Leipzig (Germany) for sports coaches, administrators. He is also the Coordinator for West Africa Zone, Africa Zone of the International Council for Health, Physical Education, Sports and Dance (ICHPER.SD).

He has research interests in physical activity for health development, sports injuries, energy for physical activity, nutrition and sports performance.

He is a member of UTAG, BASES, ICHPER.SD, ACSM,
