Prof Danso-Wiredu, Esther Yeboah
Biography
Mrs. Esther Yeboah Danso-Wiredu is a distinguished professor in the Department of Geography Education at the University of Education, Winneba. Her doctoral research focused on the complexities of urban living in impoverished communities, examining the role of informal governance structures in housing provision in Accra and Winneba, Ghana. With over 15 years of dedicated teaching experience at the university, she has also collaborated extensively with numerous NGOs both locally and internationally.
Her research interests span a wide spectrum, including Urban Geography, Urban Housing Typologies (with a special emphasis on housing solutions for marginalized urban populations), Human-Environment Interactions, Gender and Development, and Community-Based Organizations.
