Prof Poku, Adjoa Afriyie PhD
Biography
Adjoa Afriyie Poku is a Human Geographer specializing in Health and Medical Geography. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Geography (2003) at the University of Ghana, Legon. She received a Master of Philosophy degree in Development Studies (Specializing in Geography) at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), (2006) and a PhD in Geography from Nottingham University (2014). She is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Geography Education, University of Education, Winneba, where she has worked for sixteen years. She also worked as a Demonstrator for a year at the School of Geography, University of Nottingham. She is a professional teacher with teacher’s registered number 2480/98. She has authored a number of books and published articles in reputable journals.
