Author, Prof. Charles Kojo Assuah expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor, University Management, colleagues, students and guests for their support during the launch. He explained that the book was inspired by the difficulties many postgraduate students and early career researchers face when attempting to understand and apply mixed methods research.

Prof. Assuah said the book was designed to demystify the approach by providing step-by-step guidance on research design, sampling strategies, data collection, analysis and integration of qualitative and quantitative data. He expressed hope that the publication would empower a new generation of scholars to conduct methodologically sound and socially impactful research.

The launch of “Unpacking the Puzzle of Mixed Methods Research” marks an important addition to the growing body of scholarly resources aimed at strengthening research practice in higher education. Participants expressed optimism that the book would serve as a valuable reference for postgraduate students, lecturers and researchers seeking clearer guidance on integrating qualitative and quantitative approaches in research while further reinforcing UEW’s commitment to advancing knowledge through scholarship and academic publishing.
