Applications are currently open for the VCCIP programmes. Eligible applicants from the Effutu and Ajumako Traditional Areas are encouraged to submit their applications before the stated deadlines.

How Applications Are Made
VCCIP does not accept applications outside a published window. Each step below follows an official announcement from the Secretariat.

Watch for the announcement
Calls for applications are published on this page and in the News section when a programme window opens.

Download the application form
The official form for the open programme is made available for download alongside the announcement.

Complete and attach documents
Fill in the form fully and attach the supporting documents listed in the announcement.

Submit before the deadline
Submit the completed form to the VCCIP Secretariat through the channel stated in the announcement.
Eligibility
Who Can Apply
Eligibility differs by programme area. Each published call for applications states the full requirements and the documents that must accompany a submission.
Neighbourhood Academic Initiative Programme
- Pupils in participating basic schools within the Effutu and Ajumako Educational Directorates.
- Schools nominated in consultation with the Educational Directorates.
- Demonstrated interest and potential in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
Financial Support for Needy Indigenous Students
- Indigene of Effutu, Ajumako or an eligible surrounding community.
- Admitted to, or currently enrolled in, a recognised tertiary institution.
- Documented evidence of financial need.
- Satisfactory academic standing, with particular attention to students in STEM programmes.
Community Apprenticeship Initiative Programme
- Young person from Effutu, Ajumako or an eligible surrounding community.
- Willingness and availability to complete the full training period.
- Interest in one of the published vocational or creative training areas.
Value of Support
The value of an award is determined by the VCCIP Secretariat and approved through the programme's governance structures. Awards are made in line with documented need, the requirements of the programme area and the funds available in the relevant academic year.
Where an award covers fees, payments are made in accordance with Secretariat procedures. The exact value applicable to each window is stated in the published announcement.
Tuition support
Assistance towards approved tuition and academic fees for the period covered by the award, paid in line with Secretariat procedures.
Accommodation support
Assistance towards accommodation costs where the beneficiary's circumstances and available funds permit.
Training and certification
For apprenticeship beneficiaries, support covers structured training with experienced artisans and certification on successful completion.
Academic enrichment
For academic initiative beneficiaries, support is delivered as tutoring, enrichment activities and mentoring rather than a cash award.
Financial Support for Needy Indigenous Students
Renewal and Termination of Support
Financial support carries continuing obligations. The conditions below apply to beneficiaries of the financial support programme area.
Renewal of Support
- Support is awarded for one academic year at a time and is not automatically renewed.
- Beneficiaries must submit a renewal request with current academic results before the start of the next academic year.
- Continued financial need must be confirmed through the Secretariat's review.
- Beneficiaries must remain in good academic and disciplinary standing at their institution.
- Renewal remains subject to the availability of funds and approval by the VCCIP governance structures.
Termination of Support
Support may be suspended or withdrawn where any of the following occurs:
- Withdrawal, deferment or dismissal from the institution.
- Provision of false, altered or misleading information in an application or renewal request.
- Persistent failure to meet the agreed academic standard without acceptable explanation.
- Serious breach of the rules or code of conduct of the institution.
- Failure to submit required reports, results or renewal documentation.
- A material change in circumstances that removes the documented financial need.
