UEW Management Engages Transport Stakeholders to Improve Service Delivery
Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has engaged officers of the University's Transport Section, garage owners and transport service providers in a strategic meeting to strengthen transport service delivery and operational efficiency across the institution.
The meeting, held at the Council Chamber on Wednesday, 3rd June, 2026, brought together key stakeholders responsible for maintaining and operating the University's transport system to discuss practical ways to improve service quality and ensure the smooth running of transport-related activities.
Addressing participants, Prof. Stephen Jobson Mitchual, the Vice-Chancellor, asserted the University's commitment to supporting transport service providers so they can fulfil their responsibilities effectively and on schedule.
He assured stakeholders of Management's preparedness to provide the necessary support for the proper and timely execution of their work. He stressed the importance of an efficient transport system to the University's teaching, learning, research and administrative functions.
Prof. Mitchual noted that collaboration among the Transport Section, garage owners and service providers was critical to maintaining high standards of service delivery and ensuring the reliability of the University's fleet and transport operations.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for participants to exchange ideas on improving transport services and addressing operational challenges to enhance efficiency and responsiveness.
Mr. Elijah Otis Awuni, the Transport Officer, led the Transport Section delegation and participated in discussions focused on strengthening the University's transport management system.
The engagement forms part of UEW's broader commitment to continuous improvement, stakeholder collaboration and the provision of quality support services that contribute to the University's growth and development.
