Entry Requirement
A candidate seeking admission into this programme should have obtained:

A B.Ed. Home Economics (Clothing and Textiles) degree with a grading with a minimum qualification
Second Class Lower.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Home Economics Education from University of Education, Winneba with a
grading a minimum qualification of Second Class Lower.

A Bachelor of Home Science, Family and Consumer Science (Clothing and Textiles) or an equivalent
qualification from any other university recognised by the GTEC with a grading with a minimum
qualification of Second Class Lower.

B.Tech. B.Sc. and B.A. Fashion and Design/Textiles with grade B or CGPA of 3.0 or better.

Candidates with M.Ed. in Home Economics (Clothing and Textiles) and M.Tech. Fashion Design and
Textiles should have grade B or CGPA of 3.0 or better in one (1) year top.

Foreign applicants from accredited institutions with equivalent qualifications will be considered for
admission after verification of certificate by GTEC.
- In addition, applicants must pass a selection interview to be conducted by the department
Progression
A student must pass all taught courses before being allowed to proceed with the thesis.
Graduation
The minimum credit required for graduation is 57, and the maximum credits is 63, comprising the following:

taught courses and Seminars, making a total of between 36 and 42 Credit Hours.

Thesis of 21 Credit Hours.
