Biography
Ernest Yeboah ACHEAMPONG (PhD) is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Sports (HPERS) at the University of Education, Winneba. He is a product of the FIFA Master equipped with unique and innovative managerial skills across the sports industry. He has expertise in football management, youth football development and education, socioeconomics of sport, sport for action, sport management, sociology of sport and soccer coaching. He is a former semi-professional footballer from Ghana and holds a CAF License B coaching diploma and FIFA Grassroots Coach Educator. His coaching experiences in Ghana at Lizzy Sports Complex, colts’ teams and FC Seyssins (U19), France. Ernest's coaching took him to Sweden, Denmark and France. He also applies economic sociology knowledge to sport contexts (e.g., Give Back Behaviours of athletes, fame and wealth, education, etc.). He has published a book with Routledge entitled "African footballers in Europe: Migration, Community and Give Back Behaviours." He is also a member of several scientific societies (IACS, SAN, EASS, ISSA, etc.) and a reviewer for several international journals. Ernest has published in several international journals and speaker on both radio and print media.
