Leader in Teacher Education

The Department takes participation of students and lecturers in activities outside the university seriously and consciously promotes it.

  • Our students participated in Francophonie Festival competition on 18th March, 2019 at University of Ghana, Legon Campus, Accra.
  • The German Unit organised an excursion to Princess Town in the Western region to learn about German colonial history. The visit took place from 27th to 28th April, 2019
  • The Department also organised periodic seminars to enable graduate students to present their work (theses and proposals) and receive feedbacks.

The following are also important services rendered by the Department: 

  • Free French courses are organised for non-teaching staff of the Department. These courses are taught by the four national service personnel of the Department.
  • A radio programme Coin Français airs in French on Radio Windy Bay during the semester to educate and entertain audience.
  • Short Summer Course for Students in Lomé-Togo: The Department organizes a Summer Course hosted by Village du Benin, Lomé for students of the Department between July and August, 2018.
