Moses hails from Wasai in the Upper West Region of Ghana. Born to Bayong Basembensor Luri and Haduon Samua as the first of 19 children and third of 7 children respectively, he hard his Basic education in Du West, about 10 km away from Wasai. He continued to Tumu Secondary Technical school and had his Secondary education in 1993. The post secondary education was accomplished in Tumu Training Collage in 1997 while the Bachelor of Education Degree in Ghanaian Languages (Dagaare) was obtained in the University of Education, Winneba in 2003. The post graduate studies were done in the University of Ghana, Legon and Winneba in Linguistics and Ghanaian Language Studies in 2011 and 2012 respectively. He is currently a PhD candidate in Applied Linguistics in the University of Education.
He began work as a literacy volunteer in Wasai immediately after Secondary school in December, 1993 and as a teacher in 1997 in Zini Basic schools. Began Social Development works in 2003 with Plan Ghana and a Founder CEO of SILDEP in 2008. He served the state as the District Chief Executive for the Sissala West District in 2012 and as a Lecturer since 2010 (Graduate Teaching Assistant, Part-Time Lecturer, Assistant Lecturer and Lecturer).
He is married with 6 children and a practicing catholic.
