The Department of Social Studies Education (DSSE), Faculty of Liberal and Social Studies Education, University of Education, Winneba (UEW), invites members of the University community, researchers, educators, students, policymakers and the general public to its 2026 Departmental Conference.

The conference will be held under the theme:

"Empowering Social Studies Students with Employable, Entrepreneurial, and Digital Citizenship Skills for the 21st Century World of Work."

The event aims to examine the evolving role of Social Studies Education in preparing graduates with the knowledge, values and practical competencies required to thrive in today's dynamic world of work. Discussions will focus on employability, entrepreneurship, digital citizenship, curriculum development, civic responsibility and inclusive national development.

The conference will be hosted by Prof. Isaac Eshun, Head of the Department of Social Studies Education.
