Mature Applicant
Eligibility Criteria for Mature Applicants
To qualify for consideration under the Mature Students’ Entry route, an applicant must meet the following conditions:
Age and Experience Requirement
- The applicant must be at least 25 years old by 30th September 2026.
- Proof of age must be provided through a Ghana Card/birth certificate or any other legitimate documentary evidence.
- Must have at least 5 years’ working experience in the relevant discipline
Academic Requirements
The applicant must have one of the following:
- SSSCE: At least E in six (6) subjects – three (3) core subjects (including English Language and Mathematics) plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.
- WASSCE: At least E8 in six (6) subjects – three (3) core subjects (including English Language and Mathematics) plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.
- Additional Academic Qualification Pathway: Applicants holding any of the following qualifications may also apply:
- GCE, DBS, RSA, TVET
- Applicants must have obtained passes in relevant subjects, and such qualifications will be assessed in accordance with institutional admission requirements.
Applicants should also pass the General Aptitude Test (GAT) and Subject Area Test (SAT) to be organised by the University.
First Mature Entrance Examination

Please note that applicants who are scheduled and invited to sit the mature-entrance examination are required to pay an examination fee. The exact amount and payment instructions will be provided in their invitation.
