Call For Papers | Studies in Language, Literature and Linguistics (SLALLING)

The Editorial Board of Studies in Language, Literature and Linguistics (SLALLING) invites the submission of high-quality, original research articles for its premier forthcoming issue. The journal provides an interdisciplinary platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners to engage with contemporary debates and emerging trends in language, literature, and linguistics.

Scope of the Journal

SLALLING welcomes contributions in, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • Sociolinguistics and Language Policy
  • Discourse Analysis and Pragmatics
  • Language and Identity
  • Language Education and Pedagogy

• Literary Studies

  • African and Postcolonial Literatures
  • Comparative Literature
  • Ecocriticism and Environmental Humanities
  • Gender and Feminist Studies
  • Trauma, Memory, and Migration Studies
  • Children’s and Young Adult Literature

• Linguistics

  • Syntax, Semantics, and Phonology
  • Morphology and Lexicography
  • Corpus Linguistics
  • Computational Linguistics
  • Stylistics and Literary Linguistics

Interdisciplinary and theoretically grounded studies that bridge these domains are especially encouraged.

Submission Guidelines

  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
  • Articles should be between 5,000 and 8,000 words, including references.
  • Submissions must follow the APA (7th edition) referencing style.
  • All manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review process.
  • Authors should remove identifying information from the manuscript for anonymity.

Important Dates

  • Submission Deadline: 30th July, 2026
  • Notification of Acceptance: 13th August, 2026
  • Publication Date: 1st October, 2026
